The 2nd Annual North Carolina Family Film Festival will take place Friday, June 1st to
Sunday, June 3rd 2012 in Hertford County.
The opening night, Friday, June 1st screening will be held at Vaughan Auditorium in Marks Hall at Chowan University in Murfreesboro.
Community day, Saturday, June 2nd and "Dinner and a Movie", Sunday, June 3rd will held the
C. S. Brown Cultural Arts Center in Winton.
It is the mission of the North Carolina Family Film Festival to bring high-quality, multicultural films to Northeastern North Carolina, and create opportunities for citizens and youth of this rural area to exchange ideas and information with filmmakers from around the globe.
The program will include narratives, documentaries, features, shorts, and music videos.
A wide variety of viewpoints and diverse expressions will be showcased at the Festival with film entries from 5 countries on 4 continents.
The North Carolina Family Film Festival also offers an educational outreach component at several schools in Hertford County. In the week before the Festival, May 29th to May 31st, students will get a preview of films featured in the 2012 line up and also get to meet filmmakers and talk to them about the filmmaking process.
